98 Z71 and a 2000 GMC i bought off here with a locked up motor. Got the motor spinning and running but the gas is no good and i cant clean and empty it till next weekend.

the 98 i just rebuilt but im not getting any spark now. taking it to a shop tomorrow. It never ends

Yeah...it never ends. I've got a 96 Z71 and had to put an engine in last year.

How are the parts? The timing belt kit with water pump and seals is half off the local parts store even with shipping!

I typically stick with known brands or what's popular. Sometimes a little research pays off but I've always gotten good service and parts.

+1 again for RockAuto. I bought a whole series of parts from them last year, and when one failed and broke (it was a seat handle in an S10 pickup) they refunded me the $ on the phone, no questions asked.
