why do so many people think they have to shot their 9mm pistol at 100 yard targets? you see it all the time. a handgun is for close quarters not long range.

I got the complete opposite observation. Every range I've been to, I swear I could stab the target at the distances I see people put the target, even with long guns, lol.

I love shooting pistols at ~100 yards, you get to hear your round hit the target, I also shoot mostly suppressed though.

I agree. It should be illegal to make a shot past ten feet. You'll miss if it's any further than that.

Long range shooting with a handgun is a challenge. It's fun and that's why I do it. I don't "have to" but I like to.
