Steel Frame Full Semi-Auto Pistol Recommendations

The only correct answer* is any hammer fired Sig** you prefer.

If buying used, just avoid the P226 years with mud rails.

* Steel (stainless) or alloy? Changes the options.
** Except the SP2022 and it's predecessor SigPro cause that's a hammer fired plastic gun.

First off. Not many decent steel frame guns out there other than CZ and certain Stainless Sigs . Most all Sigs are aluminum frame. Still much better than plastic. Berettas re also aluminum.

Guns I can get behind:

Aluminum frames:
Most SIG DA/SA’s
Most Beretta 92-series
A lot of S&W 3rd Gen guns

Steel frames:
Some SIG DA/SA’s
Beretta 92X Performance
A lot of S&W 3rd Gen guns
BHP (specifically versions made by FN and Browning)
CZ-75/85 (plus “copies” from IMI/IWI like the Baby Eagle, and Tanfoglio)

Might want to take a look at Tristar arms, their 9mm pistols
made by Canik, Tristar just the importer. Full size models carry
a 120 designation capacity 17. The slightly smaller 100 models
have your specified 15 capacity and are still a good sized pistol.
C & T models have aluminum frame but the P & S models have
steel frame. C, P, S prefixes same style as CZ75, T prefix has
Jericho style design. Tristars come with 2 Mec-gar magazines,
accept CZ mags, and the CZ 75 grips are exact fit and look a lot
better than OE black plastic Tristar grips (which are comfy just
look cheap).
