Lets hope it stops in the senate...The bill also calls for a national registry, every gun owner, type of gun they purchased, etc... this is also lays the groundwork for gun taxes, insurance or whatever else they want to cram down our throats. Don't be fooled by the "Its only background checks rhetoric"
So there is a vote on whether or not background checks will be done when purchasing guns online from retailers (already done), and whether background checks must be completed when purchasing from ffl dealers at gunshows (already done).
It looks like the misinformed anti-rights folks lack of gun law understanding is finally biting them squarely in their collective asses. Good for them, they might get a victory.
If the bill is shot down would it eliminate background checks for online sales and ffl dealers wishing to sell at gunshows?

Hey if that's all it contains in regards to control im all for it. I've also read that there is some sort of national reciprocity language within it as part of the compromise- in which case im definitely not complaining.
