I have to agree with most folks about hunkering down and calling the cops. This reminds me of that ODT member who called the cops on some dope heads who parked in front of his apartment. You don't know what they are there for, but they aren't an immediate threat to you. You grab a gun (or two), take a vantage point, and call the authorities. If things go south, you are somewhat prepared, and the popo should already be on the way since you reported it (you documented a serious issue at your house first).
My brother told me of a time where a couple (4) teens randomly pulled into his driveway to get lucky around 1am. His alarm had gone off about 2 weeks earlier at about 2 am and he was thinking they had come back. His cars are parked in his garage, so everyone thinks they are not home. He saw the headlights, grabbed his gun and called the cops and observed their movements from a second floor window while the family took refuge in a back room area. About 9 minutes later, two cops show up with the spotlight. He said the look on the teens faces was priceless. I'd hate to think what would have happened if he tried to go out there and confront them in the car.
