What is required by law?

If I wanted to offer gunsmithing services what would I be required by law to have.
I can parkerize, and build aks. So I was thinking if I offered a service to repair, not build aks. I only ask because a local shop I had previously spoke with claimed to have the ability to repair, service weapson. But a customer came in asking g if they could rivet a sight rail on and they said no. Well I can and it's easy. So what would I have to have legally, or where would be a good source to check... I guess the ATF?.
Any thoughts or ideas..

You need a class 7 license if you're going to paint/parkerize or if your going to alter any part of the weapon.

HAVE TO HAVE FFL AND KEEP LOG OF ALL GUNS KEPT OVER NIGHT. NEED SALESAND USE TAX NUMBER. DEPENDING LOCATION YOU WILL PROBLEY NEED CITY OR COUNTY BUSINESS LICENSE. IF YOU ARE BUILDING GUNS YOU NEED A MANUFACTURER LICENSE INSTEAD OF FFL. YOU HAVE TO KEEP RECORD OF ALL MANUFACTURED OR BUILT GUNS. IF YOU PUT TOGEATHER MORE THAN 49 YEAR YOU HAVE TO PAY EXCISE TAX UNLESS THE RECIEVERS ARE BROUGHT TO U BY CUSTOMER!
