My savage 110 in 280ai with a $500 arken sh4 on it does a dmn good job reaching out with the right ammo. Don't have to drop serious coin to reach out these days. Granted, I'm not shooting a mile plus. More in the 1200 range.

It’s absolutely awesome hitting targets at 400 yards. There are a lot of entry level .22s that can get you there. Bergara, Savage, CZ, Ruger. The only thing that sucks is you need a quality scope for the 500 MOA of adjustment you’re going to need. Lol

I will be happy at 200 and I did get a FV SR. No scope yet.

Pinetucky out in Agusta has their nrl22 match this Saturday but Wade said they only shoot the nrl cof. That’s a long drive for only 5 stages. especially when fuel is $4.30 a gallon. Yup pinetucky is only 2.5 for me that’s definitely closer .. I stopped to top off today diesel is $4.99 gal round...

Lots of guys there will lend you anything you need if I don’t have something. My first match I borrowed some gear and bought it after I left that day.

Warning: it’s addictive, if you like the rimfire prs style matches you’ll go build a centerfire for prs stuff too… lol
