When the label says Moonshine…

But the commercial 'shine isn't... every one I've seen is like 90-100 proof, not 190 like it's supposed to be. If it won't burn frighteningly well, or melt a Styrofoam cup... it ain't 'shine. IMO.
Hey. Forgot I had this in the medicine cabinet. Would this make them better? Lol

IIRC, only the first out of the doubler is 190.
(Could be brain fart, 60 yr. old memory)
Then you blend it all down to 90-100 for bottling.
Last out is around 50 proof.

The first run is lower, (commercially about 105-125, I think), it gets up higher after a second column or trip through the doubler. Depends on the setup. Even most 'shine' dont get to 190. It's unpalatable and the stills arent that efficient.
