Wife’s Chihuahua was bitten by rattlesnake today.

If it makes you sleep better, most dogs survive snake bites especially when only bitten once. Had a neighbors dog survive after several strikes and it was a Jack Russell. Anyway. God bless. Hope dogs does well.

Not a hundred percent sure on the ID , thought it was a Eastern Diamondback, gonna do a little more research online tomorrow, either way it’s the same snake I killed this time last year, at the end of my driveway. He was a big guy, 11 rattles and a button. I appreciate your prayers and thoughts guys.

Never took a dog to the vet for a snake bite and never lost my many that got bit.
Dogs are tougher than we are when it comes to venom.
1cc of Benadryl per 10 pounds of dog and a raw egg every 4 hours for 1 day.
Fresh water too
The Benadryl stops the toxic shock and the raw eggs remove the toxins.
I use free range eggs not grocery store eggs
All dog owners should keep Benadryl on them during the season.
