Interesting the various preferences on here. Not in choice of firearm, but in whether or not you'd rather have one fantastic handgun, or several utilitarian pieces.

I was teasing a bit. I just like the ~$500 handguns a lot. I don't find myself looking at expensive handguns like I do with long guns.

Actually, after thinking about it, there are a few handguns with historical collector value I could spend $3k on.

I'd probably be in the same boat if I had a 100 yard range close by. As it is, handguns get the most range time, and thus the most $$ from the defense secretary.
