He probably laughed all the way to the bank when he sold the rights to Colt.I can't help but wonder what John Moses Browning would have to say about that.
I wish I could find some definitive proof that he actually sold the rights to Colt. Often Browning would design a gun then contract with someone to build it for him. Much like Remington and what was later built by FN and called the Browning Auto 5. Not really sure how it worked with the Colt 1911 and cannot find any evidence either way.He probably laughed all the way to the bank when he sold the rights to Colt.
