.308 Battle Rifle

View attachment 228706Anyone ever check out the FNAR .308 almost bought one last week..Winchester had one built for them with out the flutted barrel

I've never shot one, but the reviews I've read indicate that accuracy can be very spotty.

I was at pawn express in Newnan today. They have two ars in 308 a dpms and a sw mp 10 they said cost plus tax on either. They had a crap load of ars they will sell at cost to make room for used guns. It was hard not to buy one.

I'd go with a mag-fed mini g from Shuff's Parkerizing.

A 20" 308 AK doesn't scream "home defense" to me.

And I already did that. Bought two glocks and an 870.

I wouldn't advertise my capabilities, or my limitations. Done much work past 100 yards or so with the 870? I've rung a gong at 200 with a Glock, but that's play time, in times of need, I'd reach for something with a bit more decisiveness.

At least he wants a .308 platform. Have not shot my m1a since gettin' the AR-10....now there is jealousy issues and I've had to separate them! The pro for the AR is that you can get more aftermarket stuff and the mags are cheaper and easier to get. The pro for the m1a is that it is so friggin' cool!

I do like AR10s. its just that the models I like are way outta my price range. a DPMS ain't gonna cut it.

I ran into the same thing, said screw it and bought the DPMS, have been pleasantly surprised.
