I've lived under both systems for over 20 years each. Both have their problems, believe me, and negligent care providers exist worldwide, regardless of the system.

To be honest, our system has it's failures as well. But the "mum" should have gone to an ER. Parent failure, but being under the national trust system breeds dependance.
