Allstate just filed a 40% auto rate increase with the commissioners office going into effect in October. Start shopping now for better rates!

I dropped 3 years ago when they jacked me up, company I have now very reasonable. Rule of thumb, check around every 3 yrs.

Yep, others will follow suit. If Allstate goes up 40%, others will say I can go up 35% and still undercut them

Odd how the insurance commissioner is complaining about a “loophole “ that has been in the law for what , 30 years ?

I doubt they will raise rates 40% in one whack but with the recent inflation , that’s about in line with everything else .

And now ALL the other companies will say “we can do that?”…..

That isn't how it works in practice. I get your feelings there, but it is still a very competitive market and carriers will gladly jump in if they feel there is even a couple of points they can make on their combined.

Unfortunately, GA sucks for auto. We (GA) have become extremely litigious in the past 10 years and everyone knows how travel goes around here.
