For the basic pins and springs, who's kit is the best in terms of quality for hard use? I know enough to believe they are not created equal.

I don’t buy LPK’s, though. I buy all the parts in bulk, but that’s because I go through so many.
Spring source, maybe?

Of the last 4 kits I've used, the major difference is the safety detent. They have all been a little different profile.

I get my buffer springs, extractor springs/inserts, and selector/ejector springs from Sprinco.

I use FCD for buffer retainers and magazine releases, and use their springs that they offer with them. When I use FCD bolt catches, they include the roll pin, spring, and plunger.

I use FCD and Radian safeties. Both include the spring and detent.

I prefer cadmium-plated detents (selector, takedown, and pivot pins), but nitride are getting more and more common nowadays. I haven’t seen any issues with them.

This. The SOLGW blaster guts can usually be found at a solid deal. You can get them without trigger or pistol grip. That saves you some money if you’re already planning on swapping those parts.
