Crazy thing is a bump stock is a machine gun now according to Trump and his lawyers. Getting caught with one is no different than getting caught with an unregistered Uzi. You'll get charged the same.

There's a saying in the legal community:
"Tough cases make bad caselaw."
If the gun rights community wanted to help some defendant fight the bump stock / machinegun ban, this would be the right time, the right year, but this loony is NOT the right kind of defendant.

The right defendant would be like Mister Rogers, who owns both cardigans and SlideFire fitted AR carbines.
