A guy at work told me that he went to get his done in gwinnett sometime this past week and the finger printing machine is broken. They turned him away and said try back next week. Not sure how true it is but that's what he said..

next three things you need to do.

The law states they have 44 days to get you your license from day of application. You should not have waited that long!!
Why do you need your permit before it arrives? A permit is not required to own a pistol in Ga.

Gee ya think? He said he had to get it BEFORE his firearm arrives, leading me to believe he thought it was required in order to get the firearm.
I have just heard the purchase process is much faster with your GWL than waiting for the background check, and I would llike to carry after a little practice.
