i agree, but find a used one for 150. funny thing is, i'll see one listed for 225 and its gone in minutes. i must be missing something.lol

I've got an old model (60's)that I bought new, with plain walnut, original s/s butt-plate, all metal and its heavy too, priceless to me.

This is the model I got for about the same price at my local Wally. I immediately sold the nice, checkered stock w/pad on Ebay as a brand new take off for $135 to a guy in Alaska (ya, couldn't believe it went that high either!) Installed a black Hogue stock (about $55) and an el cheapo Barska 3-9x40 (on sale @ SPG for $20).
So for about $160 I ended up with a sweet looking-matte stainless on black-tack driving-squirrel killing machine with the longer sporter barrel.
