How Much Has This Frenzy Cost You?

How much have you spent, since the shooting in Connecticut and corresponding talk of new gun regs drove the gun community into a buying frenzy. I have probably dropped about $1500.00 in ammo, reloading components and gun parts that I really didn't need. Most is simply stock piling for the future. I have not bought into the higher prices, but I have spent a ton of time searching for in stock inventory. Example, I needed a bcg for an AR build. Complete bcg's are going for $300+. Today, I found an M16 carrier, without bolt, in stock for $129.00. Then I got a MPF bolt, firing pin and cam pin for $50.00 shipped on AR15.com. Stuff is still out there, but you really have to search.

So how much have you spent that you where not planning on?

950 for a sig m400, used the lower to finish my rifle build, and am currently waiting for another to become available to put together a carbine.

Btw... Cherokee Gun N Pawn had AR15 bolt carrier groups for just under $200.. they were stainless DD if I remember correctly ....

I was planning on buying an AR for some time now and then all this happened. I found a nice xm15 Bushmaster for $1000 and then 120 rounds of 5.56 for $80
