Move over law ticket????

I got one today-even though the other lane was blocked by a car which slowed down more than me. So I couldn't get over. Right behind a blind hill.

Anyone had one of these?

Any use in getting a lawyer?

You're bound to be doing something "illegal" with all the laws on the books, there is no avoiding it. How much is one of those tickets for?

Probably not worth a lawyer.

It sucks though-cause I did slow down, but cop said I didn't try to slow

There was a guy right next to me in the fast lane. When I started to slow, he slowed and I couldn't get over.

Heck-the distance from when I first saw the lights Til I passed the officer was only about 60 yards. It was a blind hill

You're collateral damage to a law designed to get the clueless asshats that just cruse along in the left lane or run parallel to another slow car blocking up traffic instead of speeding up to pass and then moving over


You should be able to successfully argue this in court. Just print out a sat image of the road and explain you couldn't move over in time. He should dismiss the charge. Will save you the fine and points at the expense of some of your time.
