Just yesterday I found out that Advance Auto Parts owns Car Quest and in fact when you enter Advance Auto Parts the parts boxes state "Car Quest". There are still independent Car Quest dealers and they are not owned by Advance.

I bought a rotor from the independent dealer for $39.54. The exact same rotor with the same part # and manufacturer was $52.60 at Advance not 1 mile up the road. Over $12 difference!

Unless you are broken down on the side of the road stay away from all car parts retailers.

You can order what you need from the internet just about as fast as those shops can, and they never have in stock what you need. Always "have it for you tomorrow.....maybe".

FYI, buy antifreeze and oil from Walmart, always 20 to 30 percent cheaper than from the parts store (just got some from both places this week).

Not to mention the factory rebates on most oil making it 1/2 off or more.

For example Mobil 1 Synthetic for $20 from Walmart, plus you get a $12 online submission rebate
