Publix standing rib roast-$6.99 lb

Thx op, we had a 2 bone one from Publix last night. It was delicious even though we pulled it at 135 degrees and let it rest for 30 min, it was much closer to medium than medium rare.
 
Wife got 3 yesterday. 17, 18 & 19 pounds. These are great on the smoker - 2 hrs on the "smoke" setting and then cook til internal temp of 125-128 - wrap for an hour and slice how thick you want. Wife throws hers in the iron skillet for a few seconds for a medium to medium well.
 
I bought a 7lb one and had the butcher cut it into 2” steaks because it would be too much for me and my wife. Trimmed the fat

I bought a 11.5 lb for Christmas dinner. I bought a 9 lb and cut steaks yesterday. I seasoned and wrapped the ribs in foil and put them in the oven for a couple of hours. They were tasty. I grilled one of the steaks too and it was delicious and tender.
