Say there is a ban after the election?

Hillary's plan to repeal the PLCCA (protection of lawful commerce in arms act) is the way they plan to control guns, and YOU, citizen. Then the lawsuits against gun manufacturers would resume and consent decrees by the carefully chosen judiciary would effectively create statutes that cannot be repealed.

If she has Congress, repealing this is a definite. She already promised to do this if she can.

In an of itself this isn't an 'end of the world' issue. The reason it was passed in the first place wasn't because individuals or even the gun control groups were taking them to court. That's a PITA, but not likely to drive a Ruger or Smith and Wesson out of business.

The real issue was the lawsuits threatened by state and federal governments. They have infinite money (ours) and lawyers and can bleed anyone they want, even a fairly large company, dry over time.

If Hillary gets the PLCCA repealed, the next step will be for HUD to reinstate its lawsuit that the projects it runs are dangerous because of firearms makers or Health Dept to state they are a public health problem, or Chicago to sue over all the dead gang-bangers there.
