Cross state lines then you have to use an FFL dealer to do the transfer.

He has no relatives in ga that may be interested in buying,no in sell to him with out ffl,it’s not worth it.

From what I have researched, only an FFL can sell a long gun to someone out of state and have them take possession of the long gun immediately. But then again, I get offers of $100 on my guns so what do I know.

i know at the shows or in shop ffls can sell a long gun and transfer to a out of state person. they can transfer hand guns, hand guns must ship to a ffl in the home state.
so you could take it to an ffl when you guys meet up and transfer it just fine. if he want you to ship,well ship to an ffl...

He could drive to GA and let a GA f.f.l. dealer transfer it to him.
You could drive it to AL and let that Alabama f.f.l. dealer take it from you (first transfer) and then immediately transfer it to him (second transfer). It only takes a few minutes.
Or you could ship it to his favorite local Alabama gun shop or pawn shop and they'll transfer it to him (An FFL dealer can receive guns from anybody in any other state, but private individuals cannot.)

I've done sales of rifles all three of these ways outlined above.
