I have done this before when a Bendix is stuck on the fly wheel...It's worked for me..

It don't go anywhere. ...it's just an extra...I always seem to have an extra....just put it up somewhere so in case u ever need it...lol

Got the starter in and believe I got the extra bolt put back too, moment of truth shortly

No problem just use half as many bolts, and make them twice as tight!
