wont help when its the folks I know getting their items bought and relisted. and im not *****ing about the regular "flippers" that have been on odt for forever, whatever you buy a glock and list it for 50 bucks more big whoop, you up the price of a box of ammo 5 bucks who care, you buy a 2500 rifle and list it for 5k . . . now we're getting into bs territory. oh and to top it off the main person has actively ripped off members and I don't mean by flipping but by outright lying about their items, not sending items they say they will, completely misrepresenting items.

This started some time around 2010.

I have sold several guns on here that have reappeared hours to a week later. One was a problematic .22 that was relisted for considerably more but no mention of problems, another was a skeleton stock Ruger that I may have priced too cheap, it was reposted as new in the box, for a much higher price, which, though it had the box it was not new.
As much as I dislike liars and thieves and as much as I feel it necessary for the reason of personally keeping a clean conscience to accurately describe items, it isn't my job to police others. I will, however, mark them and avoid them. Caveat emptor.

my biggest issue is that these folks are repeat offenders that do it over and over again and do nothing but screw over good members here. They offer nothing positive to the forum they only use it to profit from good members on here and unfortunately blocking them wont stop the stories I keep hearing about these members.

Now I'm pretty sure who you're talking about. He's been on my ignore list for a long time. If people disregard his (excessively) negative feedback and buy from him, hell, that's on THEM.

If they are doing nothing illegal there is not much to be done, if they are breaking the law you could report them. Not sure this forum has a protocol for calling someone out or blacklisting them, as much as that might be helpful if used judiciously.

Most of these people have negative feedback. If people keep buying from them, you can't save them. The feedback is there for a reason.

serious question. there are a couple of members who have been mentioned in threads before that are known flippers who are allowed to constantly rip people off. im not talking about buying a box of .22 at walmart and flipping it for 5 bucks more but the guys that buy firearms on here and then instantly double the price and relist them the same day. We have many threads that discuss the difference between buying and trading for personal pleasure and then the ones who do it strictly for profit (a felony). These members have actively burned several members on here for not small amounts of money and have the feedback to show for it. I doubt anyone will have a hard time guessing who some of these folks are. Tired of seeing decently priced items get snatched up and then immediately relisted for stupid prices.
So what you are advocating is the dissolution of private property. And make this all community property where the ODT or whoever we decide sets prices and limits sales.

I guess I've been lucky so far. I've met nothing but good people.

Of course, if I see somebody with more than one neg, I just move along to the next ad. Maybe that's why I've had good luck so far.
99.9% of the people I have met on here are great folks as well. I won't let a few bad apples spoil that.
