Wife + 'curb' = new front strut - recommendations ?

Monroe don't make shocks for it.

FCS and API sell complete assemblies, but both a low end makes.

KYB sell the strut, but not a complete kit.

I'm thinking KYB, but back to needing spring compressors :(
I think FCS uses decent stuff. At least to meet or be better than OEM. If it wasn't a Hyundai there would be alot more options.

it is MUCH easier to replace the QUICK strut version. API is a good brand, made bys. 4 bolts on top, 1 on the bottom, 45 min each side, and no spring compressor. The non commercial brand of those comp tools are dangerous. When you do the quick strut, you also replace the upper bearing, which is a big failure item. I’ll bet you have more damage there than just a strut

Neither API or FCS get much love looking at internet reviews.......

I've changed struts before, (the bent one is lying on the garage floor right now), and understand the need for quality spring compressors !

Wonder if Autozone rent quality ones them......

True about the limited options. Only made that particular version for 2 years. Far more options for other models.
