A couple of years ago one of my sons told me about some guys he knew doing this in a neighborhood where a man came out with what looked like a gun & threatened to shoot.

I told him not to ever do that as many people did not know the laws on justified use of deadly force & could be dangerous.

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.
Very unfortunate.

Not saying I never did that as a kid, but then again I did a bunch of stupid **** as a kid that I'm lucky I didn't get arrested, beaten, or killed for. Hope the kid recovers. And I hope for the homeowner's sake that he is able to sufficiently articulate the facts and circumstances that led him to reasonably believe he was in imminent danger of death or great bodily injury. Is there more to the story than a 14 year old simply ringing a doorbell and running away?

Probably shot him for that stupid bad haircut.
