Bought a CZ83 new in late 2011 then CZ dropped the 83 in 2012.
Sure glad I found that one when I did. Love the quality materials
and workmanship. Even managed to get a set of factory wood grips
before those were discontinued as well. Sold my CZ452 trainer but
the 83 probably be one of the last to clear out. Guess now only 'big'
380 choice for folks is the Bersa.

I can honestly say that the fit on my 2021 Colt Classic is noticeably better than the Special Combat Government made in 2018-ish. Both are 38 Super. I hope the trend continues.
I am a fan of Colt, but they made it really hard to defend some of the crap they put out in the last few decades.

A lot of their issues were being owned by a company that took their profits and distributed it among other companies in their portfolio to keep those companies afloat. That, and making two guns of probably the most cloned guns in America (1911s and ARs) didn't help either.

Yes. Colt has been foreign owned for a couple of decades.

At least is not China that bought them….. CZ is really great in what they do.
