Is it even possible to get your child their first vehicle for a few thousand dollars?

I got my daughter her first car 3 months ago. Found a cherry one owner 2004 Lexus ES330 with 145k miles, all service preformed by local Lexus dealer and the car basically looks new, even has new tires and brakes 5k miles ago. I got them down to 4300 and felt like I stole the car. We went and looked at 5 cars before this one and was not in a hurry and found exactly what we wanted for her. So yes, you just have to be willing to drive around and waste sometime, we found this car an hour away from us.
