^^^^ THIS ^^^^^ To much cost and to little return. The real benefit of getting to the moon was the focus on the scientific advances that were needed to accomplish it, not actually getting there. It was an obvious goal that the country supported and once it was accomplished the interest waned, thus the program ended.

Money does drive everything, but come on, there is a premade space station sitting right there and we ain't been back. There's gotta be more to it than money. So maybe it is fake. I sure as hell will never know for sure.
The Mythbusters said it was legit. Thats all the proof I need.
We have spent Trillions upon Trillions of dollars to fly the shuttle into space just to put satellites in orbit and run scientific experiments. If it is true the moon is the only planet we have been able to put a man on. Why would we not go back there and explore, drill and set up camp. Hmmmmmmmmm
Gotta vote real deal here... The space program developed everything from mylar to WD-40... Glad they spent the money back then.
Note: WD-40 comment is based on a friend's father... Water displacer, attempt #40. He claims it was developed for the space program... I haven't asked uncle google's opinion on the subject.

Real. There was no reason to fake it
Have the Russians ever been? If so then I'm sure they would be quick to tell us that it was a fake.
I wish they would go back. I know it is a waste of money, but I think it would be awesome.
