I tend to concur with you, but if you have corp of receivers that can't catch a cold in an igloo, who is their incompetence going to have the most effect on- the true freshman, or 5th year senior?
If Eason is having an "off" day, I just don't see the benefit of having him doing the same unsuccessful thing over and over. Heck, on the last offensive play, putting Brice Ramsey to run an option made more sense than the play that was called.
Granted the running game sucked, but they had been averaging 2.3 yds. a carry. Probably a "saying" there , "when you need 1 yd., 2.3 is enough"
Maybe Alabama will miss Kirby less next season.
