Striper advice- Lanier

I was out with a guide on Monday. Downlining blue backs. Find them and drop. 45 to 50 ft. Me n grandson had about 16 in 4 hours. One spot we couldn't get fish off and bait back down fast enough. No monsters but all solid fish. Good luck

I had good luck on lanier with stiper rods you can get off amazon for 80bucks live minnows and good fish finder id check the depth of the fish than let the minnow sink down and bring back a striper lol

I’m new to striper fishing(from the shores of Lake Michigan) but have caught a few on allatoona. I’m ready to venture to Lanier. Does anyone know if the fishing tactics are the same during the fall and winter time? Are the fish in the main lake or back in the shallows?

In the fall most of the fish will transition to the shallows. This time of year they will start keying on bait that will migrate into the backs of the creeks. Planer boards and free lines will be the go-to, more so than downlines.
