Couldn't agree more with you. Less and less parents hunt or are involved in shooting sports.
After this event I had 3 parents come and talk about buying their first rifle and lessons for safe storage and handling.

Bravo !
My father always said if you take the curiosity out of a gun when the child is young, by letting them shoot and training safety, then the chances for accidents and stupid gun play go way down. Almost to nil.
