The best gun to hand down to your children is any one that you've used in the defense of freedom. I would prefer to inherit a Hi-Point that had been used in a war against tyranny than a Colt that was hidden away for safe keeping.

Are we seriously to the point of giving up on freedom, and asking "what gun, that 'THEY' let me keep, would be the best to hand down to my children so that they can revel in my failure as an American?"

The best type to keep would be a single action black powder revolver, the only type THEY "might" let you keep. Have it engraved "I chose to crouch down and lick the hands that fed me".

I plan on handing down all of my guns to my sons.
I don't plan on handing any over to a tyrannical government that decides that I, after serving in 2 branches of the military, can't own firearms anymore.

SIG Sauer is getting a lot of love. What’s the general consensus on the 226 & 229 .40 S&W police trade-ins that are abundant in the $400 range? Good deal? Not a good enough deal for a .40? I have no problem w/a .40 other than it costing a little more than 9mm.

Hk USP / mk23 needs to be added to the list . I have had mine for most of my life . It’s a pistol that has never failed me and has proven itself worldwide.

It’s one of the few handguns that can be easily used by anyone. My mother can lay down death easily with the mk23
