A vent ribbed made for ventilation

I bought a fiber optic front sight from the Sports Center here in Perry for mine. It's a setup with the little green tube thing that sits in a bracket that has magnets . I went ahead and glued it to mine.
I drilled two holes in the rib then used a jewelers file to open up the figure eight looking hole into an oval. Filed it to fit a Glock tritium sight then mounted it up. The poors man’s NOD!

Nope, blue loctite on the screw threads. Probably fired 200 or so rounds of Federal Reduced Recoil 00 buck and slugs plus a few boxes of #4 bird shot….no worries.

The fit beteeen the sight base and the vent rib is tight. I filed it so it required me to tap the sight in with a small ball peen hammer (laid a carpenter’s pencil over the sight and tapped it it). The fit and some blue loctite on the sight screw threads is all that’s holding it in.

Works Good, Lasts a Long Time.
