Am i cool?

Some states, about 13 of them, require you immediately tell the LEO you have a gun, and SC is one of those. He stops you, you don't say nothing, then he asks you and when you admit, you are already in violation of the law....as I understand it. I am NOT a lawyer.
 
That's why I included that link.. laws change pretty quickly.

Do “No Gun Signs” Have the Force of Law?
“YES”

Must Inform Officer Immediately on Contact By Law?
“YES”

RV/Car Carry Without a Permit/License
Anyone who can legally own a firearm can carry it loaded if contained in a closed Glove Box, Console, Trunk or a vehicle without a trunk in the Luggage Area in a container secured with fasteners.
 
SC you have to inform. Not sure about the rest.


I always inform and offer to do anything to make the officer more comfortable.....just out of respect. Personally, I've rarely had any issues. (and even then minor BS) I also carry a FL & GA weapons license.
