I'm lacking a "powerful" handgun in my collection.

I'm basically looking for something that:
-Could take down a Hog, Black Bear, Deer, mountain lion, etc...
-Be controllable enough for follow up shots (this is to keep the 338 Lapua pistol recommendations to a minimum) ;)
-Minimal Weight
-Minimal Size

I've been on the hunt for a .357 revolver for a while but can't see to trade into one...
I have never owned a revolver - shot them as a kid but it's been a long time!

Options I've been looking at:
4-6" 357 revolver
4-6" 44 revolver
Glock 20 10mm
Glock 21 conversion to 10mm (using my 3rd Gen Glock 21, 10mm barrel and mags)

Thoughts? Recommendations? Is the G21 10mm conversion reliable?
Thanks!

I use a S&W 329 Night Guard as my woods/hunting backup gun.

Look at the .41magnum revolver. Ballistics near .44magnum with recoil near .357magnum.

If bear are possible you will want at least .41magnum, at least 210gr.

4in 500s&w

My 8 3/8 500, does some nasty stuff to hogs.

500 is the all around gun itd kill anything from a chipmunk up to t-rex if need be.

When it comes to hunting something that will try to kill you when or if you flinch and get bad shoot placement. Id reither have a gun big enough that if the placement was bad it would blow the shoulder out and not running anywhere.

LOL, yes there is something to be said for that!
Thanks

I'd 460 Rowland is the most interesting so far... Being able to use .45 dies and projectiles is a definite bonus!
