When I was a pre-teen,I was taught if you break into someone's house or was sneaking around their houses, I would get shot....I believed it and I didn't do such stupid things....I was taught about consequences and responsibilities and it was impressed upon me with a hickory switch or a belt......didn't hurt me but sure did help me remember.

YOU JUST SUMMED IT ALL UP, WE HAVE A THROW AWAY SOCIETY THROW THEM BACK ON THE STREETS AND LET SOCIETY LAW MAKERS COME UP WITH SOME NON-WORKING PROGRAM WE ALL PAY FOR THAT DOES NOTHING BUT make THE LAW MAKERS FEEL LIKE THE HAVE REALLY DONE SOMETHING. MADD, people still drive drunk, kill themselves, plus innocent by standers also...

We have over 25,000 laws on the books which came from the original 10 laws....

WE have way to many programs that only support people who think stealing is ok, they(the victim) have insurance make them the victim use it to benefit (the thefts personal gain by theft)...

He should have taught his grandson better. They had opportunity to leave when they were confronted. They chose not to. We have a Constitutional Right to defend ourselves.

The grandfather is part of the reason that his grandson is dead now, instead of teaching him to respect other people's property and other people's lives. He is only worried about how 3 masked home invaders with knives and brass knuckles stormed into a house and were met with resistance
