Older bushmasters are pretty close other than the lack of park under the fsb. Same reason people get boners for Colt 1911s, single and double action revolvers. They are Colts. Quite arguably the most iconic firearms c ompany in American history. Lots of copies, some better, some worse, but only one colt. Use to be that if you wanted a Chrome lined barrel, you had to buy an A B C AR. Armalite, Bushmaster, Colt.

I have seen very few Colts in patrol cars. Lots of DPMS and Bushmasters, very few Colts.

Funny thing is, besides the SAA, Colt didn't develope any of the guns that made them who they are.

You forget my daddy was the patrol LT in the town I was raised in and I did a 2 year stint with the RRPD. Not to mention most of my friends and family are Leo.
