Anyone else have to sleep with a light on at night.

I had a new interpreter attack my TL over in Iraq in a pitch black room and we got him down but ever since then I can't stand to sleep in the dark. Waking up not knowing where I'm at gets to me.

Anyone else have this problem?

I never experienced anything like what happened to you, but I usually keep a lamp on for the same reason. I want to be able to see.

Yes. Don’t like not being able to see what’s around me. Also, for most of my life I needed noise to sleep, fan noise etc… Now, I want it as quite as possible so that I can hear anything out of the ordinary. Age does things to you…

We have 3 but they sleep in my families room with the door shut. The cats aren't much use.

ive not had experiences such as you have had, but i do like having a small light on at home and still keep two flashlights by the bed(my wife thinks im weird when it comes to flashlights)when i camp or backpack an hour before sunset i put a headlight on to stay until sunup. I dont like the idea of being awoken in the dark.

My fish tank has blue night lighting that lights the room.

I like flashlights also.

I have a few motion detector night lights for the mrs,she has to get up multiple time during the night.
