Best .22lr semi auto?

I haven't been shopping for a .22LR pistol in 15 years, but back then I went with a Browning Buckmark. Back then they weren't available with factory threaded muzzles, so I had a gunsmith do that to mine. It's been great. I use it both wearing the can and without. Sometimes I put a cheap $30 fake suppressor on it, just as a muzzle weight, for balance and rapid-fire recoil control. The trigger pull was excellent right out of the box.

Mine did not come with a scope base or with holes drilled and taped for mounting optics, but I think the new generation of these Brownings do.
