Let's talk trucks.

I own 3 Cummins and love them. I've also owned power strokes but keep finding my way back to cummins. Everybody dogs dodges transmissions but I'm not rough on my trucks and I've never has any problems.
I'm looking at 10,000 pounds 2-3 times per month for 300-500 miles per trip.

6.2 is a garbage and re sale sucks
They are not lasting long with bottom end falling apart and weak valve springs and just a slug

The duramax is by far the best reliable vehicle today 13-16 lml they have proven undee power can still tow same as the ones with more power thats becaus of a tuned trans and perfect gearing

397 hp 767 tr is no joke

The new duramax lp5 17 newer is impressive
446hp 900+ tq
But its all new 90% new i will wait couple years before i buy

Heavy duty gas engines is a waste and being cheap well might be in your budget but it will lose all value down road and will not last long term

Now sure you can make it last but you cant go 180kmiles no service like your old ford these newer are expernsive

Now granted not many can afford 70k truck or willing if they could but to each of their own

Buy what you want and **** everyone else

Both shine compared to the Power Strokes reputation and reviews.
Which ford ?
The 15 and later 6.7 is a beast and cant say much bad

Delete all emissions and bam yoire golden
Same on cummins and duramax

We are getting few cummins in shop with head valve spring issues and their transmissions

The newer cummins offers only in 3500 swb and dually with akins trans and will tell you its about good as allison
Rams electrical system and computers sucks

The suspension sucks well its ok doesnt flex as bad as fords see youtube vids

441 hp 860tq fords is impressive

They was first to do aluminum heads and show will work
Then duramax went after it and nailed it

Either way dodge is cheapest but with reasin
Their resale sucks period
Ford and duramax strong holding values

For now this is what we are working with. 8,800# trailer max weight. I get around 12mpg with 5,000# at 65mph.

I'm looking at duramax right now and you'd think Jesus himself anointed them. The prices are out freakinrageous. With the load you are towing you need a diesel. I would not even consider a gas engine.
