I went once it was a **** show, had some Indian dude who owns a business acting like he was God. My wife said if he yells at me , I'm kicking his Ass. I looked at her and said the Irish is coming out of you. I never went again, but because I walk my dogs all over the subdivision, I have met many of our HOA people, not bad people!

Managed to avoid those, now retired in rural GA so no need ti worry about neighbors and their rules.

We had one tonight also. Combo meet and welcome back to one of our part-timer families. Drinks and snacks, viewing pics of one of member’s’ vacation in the Mediterranean. Agreed to replace some vegetation in the common areas killed by the recent hard freezes. No biggie.

I'd guess maybe 95% of people just want to be left alone and 5% want to get in everyone's business. I assume HOA meetings tend to be dominated by the latter. I'll pass.
