Head looked like a gorilla, but upper limbs were too human. When "it" stood the arm movements were way too human and the suit too baggy.

Why'd he run while filming his feet?

First, never, ever go into the jungle without a gun (that includes ATL).
Second, why are you running from something that hasn't heard or seen you yet?
Third, if you are running while filming, the camera would be getting all kinds of crazy views and we'd be puking like it was the Blair Witch Project in 3D.

Funny how there was lots of grainy shaky footage in the 70s when video cameras were huge .

Now that everyone has a video camera in their pocket , there’s zero footage .
