I think the fact that Dekalb county has a fairly large population probably also contributes to the time it takes to process. 72 days isn't that bad considering the license is good for 5 years.

That ain't the problem the people in DeKalb County employ are the problem

I got mine in Cobb Co. It only took 30 days from the time I applied, to getting it in the mail.

Fire the stupid people and hire people that have some knowledge of their job description.DeKalb is like an entitlement program.Unqualified employees in jobs they know nothing about.Nepotism ? maybe.

Just got mine. 7 weeks. It took 2 weeks to get fingerprinted, but they turned it around in 5 weeks after that!

Troup county: Paid the fee, went to UPS store for prints. Less that 2 weeks later the license arrived in the mail.

well, pretty suprised to say the least but it arrived friday!

Barrow county took 5 days for me three years ago. And just this month, my father in law got his. He applied on a Thursday, and it was in his mailbox Monday at 10am when the mailman came.
