I've heard the long barrel on a 9mm AR can create some excess port pop. I'm not sure why that would be the case, but is there any truth to that?

I've heard the long barrel on a 9mm AR can create some excess port pop. I'm not sure why that would be the case, but is there any truth to that?

I've heard that as well but never shot a long barrel 9mm suppressed before. I would assume it would have something to do with the bullet still being in the barrel when the bolt opens, causing more pressure; as opposed to the bullet being out of a shorter barrel, and the system having less pressure when the bolt opens.
