I like the universality of having several cartridges choices a big plus. As to your question yes it is quite capable on killing a deer..You also have several choices in 357mag rounds and 38 rounds to fire..I like my 44mag, as I can also shoot 44special. View attachment 1577535

I know a lot of people that say the same thing about a .223. I won't use one for deer, because. I have no need to. Same with a .357.

I agree 243/6mm is low end of rifle spectrum for deer-for me. And then with 6mm Rem(which can be loaded faster than 243 Win) I am very picky about shots and distance.

Not familiar with 30Garret, but I would argue 41 and 44 mag struggle to produce 1000 ft pounds at the muzzle, much less 100 yards. 800 to 900 muzzle more like it.
