gun pulled on me today- need help

This is true, as long as the vehicle belongs to YOU and is registered in your name..

I am not a lawyer, but it is unfortunately not so simple.

If you don't have a permit- don't think you can carry in your buddies truck, in that case the firearm would need to be in a case and unloaded. Unless you are eligible for a permit....

TLDR= If you're 18-20 you can only carry in YOUR vehicle. If you're otherwise ineligible for a permit- only YOUR vehicle. (provided that you are only ineligible for a permit and not entirely ineligible to possess and control firearms.)
No you can carry in anyone's car unless that person specifically refuses or "ejects" the person carrying the gun.
Notice the statue only specifically states "inside his or her home" the comma comes after home as to keep it separate from motor vehicle or place of business.
In law the placing of commas is very important and specific.

It's already there, emboldened as to not confuse you.
How about you read this copy and post that you pasted

Any person who is not prohibited by law from possessing a handgun or long gun who is eligible for a weapons carry license may transport a handgun or long gun in any private passenger motor vehicle; provided, however, that private property owners or persons in legal control of private property through a lease, rental agreement, licensing agreement, contract, or any other agreement to control access to such private property shall have the right to exclude or eject a person who is in possession of a weapon or long gun on their private property in accordance with paragraph (3) of subsection (b) of Code Section 16-7-21, except as provided in Code Section 16-11-135.

An 18-20 year old is not eligible for a weapon's carry license.

Not

He posted you can't carry into someone's vehicle
But law states which he posted copy paste of it that any person
Can as long you was given permission to do so
Slight correction. The person does not have to grant permission, however he can refuse to allow firearms in his/her vehicle. Important difference.

To the OP, let it go.
Next time don't be aggressive with your merging tactics. Be more courteous on the road. If the other driver is persistent in not letting you merge then so be it. Don't let your pride get the best of you. You can quickly put yourself and/or your family in danger. All you had to do to prevent this was, just let the other driver go and take the next available position in line.
In conclusion, you brought this scenario on yourself and put your family in a dangerous position, so to me, it is all your fault. Take responsibility for your actions and learn from it. Move on,,,
